Revenue denies leaking details about Lowry’s tax affairs
14/04/2005 - 08:09:22The Revenue Commissioners have denied leaking information about the tax affairs of independent TD Michael Lowry to the media.

Mr Lowry claimed yesterday that a reporter told him he and his company were facing possible prosecution over alleged Revenue offences.
The North Tipperary TD has accused the tax office of leaking this information and has described the leak as outrageous. But in a statement last night, Revenue said the information did not come from its staff.
It said it had a code of conduct obliging all Revenue workers not to divulge the tax affairs of any individual or company and this had not been breached.
