More than 300 people are waiting for a hospital bed across the country today.
The Trolleywatch report from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation claims 313 people in total are waiting for a bed, 237 are on trolleys while a further 76 are in overflow areas of wards.
According to the latest report, University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 43 people in need of a bed.
University Hospital Galway and University Hospital Waterford both have 25 people waiting.
