Clare County Council has revised upwards the estimated cost of repairing the damage caused by the recent storms.
The coastal damage took place just after Christmas and on several days in January.
An initial report outlined costs totalling over €23m - but now the local authority said the structural damage will cost €36.8m to fix.
The increased figure takes into account the discovery of more damage done on February 1.
The greatest destruction was recorded in Lahinch - where repair works are estimated to cost over €6m.
The projected cost also includes a 10% contingency fund of €3.3m.
