Met Éireann is warning of further strong gales on Irish coasts today, with many reaching storm force at times.

Parts of the west are very wet and blustery this morning, with heavy rain and strong winds forecast for all areas in the early part of the day.

Motorists are being advised to reduce speed and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.

The clean up is underway in many parts of the country already this morning, after days of bad weather and flooding in places.
