The priest at the funeral of Donal Walsh has urged young people to remember the 16-year-old's message.
The Kerry teenager has been laid to rest this afternoon after losing his four-year battle with cancer earlier this week.
During his illness, he had appealed to his peers who may be contemplating suicide to think twice and to ask for help.
Hundreds of people attended his funeral at St John's Church in Tralee earlier.
Members of CBS The Green, Tralee Rugby Club and Kerins O'Rahilly's GAA Club provided a guard of honour.
Fr Francis Nolan told those gathered that Donal would be remembered for encouraging others never to give up.
