Reilly wins vote of confidence

The Health Minister has comfortably won the confidence of the Dáil by 99 votes to 50.
His junior Minister Roisin Shortall voted confidence in James Reilly - despite not offering any support to him in her speech on the motion.
Earlier this evening was given a four minute speaking slot to express confidence in her senior Minister.
She delivered that speech, without mentioning doctor Reilly once or expressing any support for him.
Instead she demanded more action from government in delivering in health, called for a clear road map for the future and criticised the lack of delivery on one issue.
TDs who lost the Government whip - Tommy Broughan, Patrick Nulty and Denis Naughton sided with the opposition and voted no confidence
