The Health Minister says he is "very concerned" about the possibility of Irish victims of Jimmy Savile.
The DJ and TV presenter travelled to Ireland on a number of occasions to take part in fundraising events for the Central Remedial Clinic in Dublin.
Reports published in the UK today revealed that he sexually abused dozens of people aged between five and 75 in hospitals over a 50-year period.
Minister Reilly said that he will be liaising with the Children's Minister Charlie Flanagan on the matter.
"Well obviously we would be very concerned to ensure that nobody fell victim to somebody with the reputation that he clearly now has, posthumously," he said.
"I would no doubt be talking to Minister Flanagan in relation to these issues to ensure that nobody was a victim."
