Rare bell stolen from Kerry church

Gardaí are appealing for information after a rare historical bell was stolen from a church in Castleisland in Co Kerry.
The bronze bell, which dates back to the 1700s, was taken from St Stephen's Church in the town, sometime between 11am last Wednesday and 7am the following morning.
It measures 26 inches in diameter and weighs over 28 stone. It bears the inscription 1776.
There are only 16 such bells in the world.
Gardaí are asking all scrap dealers and antique dealers in particular to contact Killarney Garda Station if they have any information.
