Quinn to bring in new university pay laws

The Education Minister Ruairi Quinn is to bring in new laws compelling universities to comply with government pay policy.

The Education Minister Ruairi Quinn is to bring in new laws compelling universities to comply with government pay policy.

Quinn says he has been given cabinet approval for the laws after some non-adherence to the Croke Park Agreement.

This includes millions paid out in unauthorised allowances and what the Minister describes as excessive pension arrangements.
