Quinn apologises for dealings with Anglo

Bankrupt Sean Quinn has apologised for his role in getting so heavily involved with the former Anglo Irish Bank.

He was a special guest at the Ballinamore family Festival in Co Leitrim yesterday where more than 2,000 people turned up to hear him speak.

The former billionaire said the real victim is the Irish taxpayer.

Mr Quinn served a nine-week sentence in prison last January for contempt of court and his family's legal battle with the former Anglo Irish Bank continues.

The Cavan man also hit out at the last two Governments for what he calls "covering up".
