Kilkenny murder investigation continues


A murder investigation is continuing into the death of a 36-year-old woman who was found in a house in Kilkenny.

The dead woman at the centre of the investigation has been officially named as Christine Quinn, from Greenfields, Freshford Road, Kilkenny.

It is believed the separated mother-of-two suffered extensive injuries to her head and torso.

Mrs Quinn, who worked part-time as a waitress in Kilkenny, had two sons aged14 and 18.

Garda Technical Bureau staff are examining the scene. The State Pathologist will carry out a post-mortem investigation today.
