Publican stable after Dublin shooting

A Dublin publican, who was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery yesterday afternoon, is in a stable condition in hospital.

A statement from St Vincents this evening said Mr Charlie Chawke sustained a serious leg injury from a gunshot wound, and underwent surgery.

He is still getting intensive treatment at the hospital.

Gardaí in Blackrock are still questioning two men who were arrested following the shooting.
