Public warned to look for signs of lung cancer
22/01/2010 - 10:59:42Some 40% of Ireland’s lung cancer patients are diagnosed too late for active treatment.
Today the Irish Cancer Society is launching an awareness campaign on the signs and symptoms of the disease.
With early detection, there is every chance of a cure for lung cancer.
GP's are also being asked to be extra vigilant if patients show signs which include a cough that does not go away, wheezing and unexplained weight loss.
