Public warned about Internet-based health information
The Health Research Board is warning people about the dangers of using the Internet to deal with health problems.
The organisation says a survey has found that one-quarter of Irish adults use the Internet to search for information about health issues.
The HRB says using the Internet for decision-making purposes without expert advice can have a negative impact on a patient's health.
