Public urged to reclaim heel-prick tests before one million are destroyed

The Irish Heart Foundation has urged the public to claim certain medical records belonging to people born between 1984 and 2002.
Every person between the age of 11 and 29 will have had a heel-prick blood test at birth, which is on file with the HSE.
The IHF is urging the public - particularly where there is a family history of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome - to reclaim their tests.
The HSE will destroy more than one million heel-prick blood tests after Easter Sunday.
