Police in the North investigating the attempted murder and sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl 20 years ago have released two new images of the suspect.
On Friday, June 10, 1994, the girl was playing with a seven-year-old friend in an area of trees at Barcroft Community Centre in Newry when a man in his late teens or early 20s approached them and asked them to help find his brother.
The children followed the man, who separated them and subjected the girl to a prolonged and violent sexual attack.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have information which has not already been given to the enquiry team to get in touch.
Police also want to identify a couple who came to the aid of the seven-year-old boy who had been with the victim before they were separated by the suspect.
