Protect Rural Ireland campaign against Minister Alex White

Campaigners from the Protect Rural Ireland group are today targeting the South Dublin constituency of Minister Alex White, in an effort for him not to get re-elected.

The Protect Rural Ireland movement has mounted anti re-election campaigns on a number of sitting TDs, who the group has said are damaging rural Ireland.

The initiative is being held ahead of next year's general election.

Today's canvassing against the Minister for Communications and Natural Resources Alex White, is taking place on Braemor Road and around the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown constituency.

Chairperson of Protect Rural Ireland Henry Fingleton, explained why they are negatively campaigning against the Labour TD: “Minister Alex White has been very disingenuous, he is burning 7,000 tonnes of coal down at Moneypoint, every single day, and yet thinks it’s ok to cover the country in Windfarms and Pile ons and for us that is not acceptable.

“So we are up in Dublin, we are appealing to our urban neighbours on this small island to please do us a huge favour to leave his ballot paper empty in the next election.”
