Irish residential property prices rose by 2.3% in August when compared to July.

Irish residential property prices rose by 2.3% in August when compared to July.

However excluding Dublin, the increase was just 0.8%.

According to the CSO, prices were up nationally by nearly 15% in the year to August and were 5.6% higher than the same month last year.

In Dublin, house prices rose 3.5% last month, up 24.7% on August 2013.

Apartment prices in Dublin were 32.6% higher in August when compared to a year earlier.
