Priory Hall residents considering new deal
Former residents of Priory Hall are this evening considering a plan drawn up by the government to deal with the evacuated complex.
A proposal was agreed upon yesterday and has now been submitted to the former residents for consideration.
Some form of mortgage deal is expected but it is not yet clear how buy-to-let loans will be handled.
Residents have been living in temporary accommodation since their evacuation two years ago.
It comes just a week before the Supreme Court is due to hear the City Council’s appeal over their accommodation costs.
In the meantime, residents say they will be going through this proposed deal in detail before deciding whether or not to accept it.
