Priest appointed for foreign nationals
06/09/2005 - 14:01:29The Archbishop of Dublin, Dr Diarmuid Martin, has appointed a priest who will have responsibility for the pastoral care of Foreign Nationals here.
Dr Martin announced the appointment of Fr Gerry Kane who will work mainly with priests and parishes in the diocese of Dublin.
He said that he hopes that priests from other countries will be able to do for their co-nationals what Irish emigrant chaplains did during the high point of Irish emigration.
