Postmortems indicate no foul play in Tipperary deaths

05/06/2008 - 18:08:07
Post-mortem examinations have been completed on the bodies of an elderly couple who were found dead in their Tipperary home, and foul play is not suspected.

The couple, who were in their early 70s, were discovered yesterday afternoon in their isolated bungalow about 4km outside Tipperary town.

It's believed they were overcome following a gas leak.

Gardaí said that levels of gas were found in the couple's bodies during the post-mortems and they've now ruled out foul play.

A file is being prepared for the investigating coroner.
