A post mortem has revealed that Adrian Folan met a violent death.

The body of the 41-year-old was found in a disused quarry near Liscannor in Co Clare yesterday morning.

A murder investigation is now underway and detectives in Co Galway are questioning a man in his 40s.

Meanwhile, his family has asked all media, including photographers, not to approach the house or any member of the family.
