A post mortem is expected to take place today on the body of a man discovered in a burning car in County Cork.

A post mortem is expected to take place today on the body of a man discovered in a burning car in County Cork.

The discovery was made in an isolated area just outside Fermoy shortly after 6pm yesterday evening.

The remains were removed to Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí are investigating, however they say the death is not believed to be suspicious.

The area was last night sealed off, and gardaí are working to identify the man.
