Poll shows drop in support for all main parties except SF

Sinn Féin has been boosted by a drop in support for the Coalition.

The latest opinion poll shows that Gerry Adams' party is the only one of the country's four main political parties to see its popularity rise.

The Millward Brown survey shows Fine Gael is down three points to 27%, Labour have dropped four points to 8% and Fianna Fáil drops five points to 21%.

That puts them behind Sinn Féin who go up six to 22%, their highest level of support since the General Election.

Greens and others also go up six to 21%.

The research was carried out for nine days until Friday right throughout the GSOC and Garda Whistleblower controversies.
