Poll shows drop in Nice Treaty support

An opinion poll on the Nice Treaty, published today comes as a significant blow for the Government.

Support for ratification has dropped by 7%, with the "No" camp picking up the same level of ground.

In an MRBI poll conducted last week, the Yes vote was shown as 45%,
while the No vote stands at 28%.

The sizeable number of those with no opinions, 27%, will be a major concern for Government, fighting apathy towards the referendum.
