Poll reaffirms FF popularity
A new opinion poll shows Fianna Fáil is again the most popular party in the country.
The Millward Brown Poll for tomorrow's Sunday Independent gives them a four-point lead over Fine Gael.
In this poll Micheál Martin’s party climbs to 29%, up six points since the last comparable poll for the same paper two weeks ago.
This puts the party back as the most popular in the country, a position it held in the Millward Brown Poll a month ago.
Fine Gael is on 25%, up a point on two weeks ago, but for coalition partners Labour a result of 9% is down two points.
It is the first time the party has been below double digits since going into government.
Sinn Féin also sees its support drop this month, down a point to 20%, while others are down three to 16%.
The poll also finds that three quarters of voters are dissatisfied with the Coalition, with just a fifth happy with the Government's performance, and half of voters wanting a brand new political party.
Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has a dissatisfaction rating of 69% and almost two-fifths of Labour supporters are not happy with him.
