Poll: 70% believe child benefit should be means tested
More than 70% of people believe child benefit payments should be means tested.
That is one of the findings of an Ipsos/MRBI poll in today's Irish Times.
The survey also shows there is still strong opposition to planned measures like a property tax and water charges.
Sixty six per cent of people said the property tax, due to come in next year, is a bad idea, while 60% were against having to pay for their water.
