In the North, five police officers have received minor injuries in two separate incidents overnight.

In the North, five police officers have received minor injuries in two separate incidents overnight.

A female officer was treated in hospital for injuries to her face and arm after she and two male colleagues reacted to a disturbance in Downpatrick.

It happened on Market Street shortly before 3am this morning.

Meanwhile, two other PSNI officers suffered injuries to the face and back when they were hit by bottles in Belfast at about 8pm last night.
