Police identify new suspect for murder of Michaela McAreavey

Police investigating the murder of Michaela McAreavey have identified a new suspect.

The 27-year-old teacher was found dead while on honeymoon in Mauritius almost two years ago.

A fresh investigation into her death was launched five months ago, after two hotel workers were acquitted following a two-month trial last summer.

It is understood investigating officers have now sent a file on a new suspect to the island's Director of Prosecutions.
