Plan outlines how '10,000 jobs can be made at IFSC'

A major report has been prepared for the Government, showing how 10,000 new jobs could be created at the Irish Financial Services Centre (IFSC).

According to the Irish Times, boosting employment in financial technology companies is a central feature of the plan.

A group chaired by the Departments of the Taoiseach and Finance held consultations with industry and public sector bodies before drawing up 22 proposals.

The plan is due to go to Cabinet later this month.

The Irish Financial Services Centre employed 35,000 people at the end of next year.
