A new website has been set up aimed at making communities a better place to live.

The online service - Fixyourstreet.ie - will allow users to report problems such as potholes, graffiti and illegal dumping in their area.

The website will initially operate for the South Dublin County Council area but it is hoped it will soon be rolled out throughout the country.

Reports will be accepted via the website, through email or on twitter.

South Dublin County Council says it will respond to the complaints within 48 hours.
