People urged to drink responsibly over Bank holiday

Drinkaware.ie is urging people to pace themselves if drinking over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

The responsible drinking programme website said that Irish people tend to drink too much and too fast when out socialising.

It is urging people to slow down and not to overdo it.

It is also advising people to think about how much they drank the night before, before driving the next morning, saying that it takes about an hour to get rid of one standard drink from your body.
