A man in his early 70s has died in a house fire in north Kerry.

Pensioner dies in overnight house fire

A man in his early 70s has died in a house fire in north Kerry.

The blaze broke out at the man's home in the Woodgrove housing estate in Moyvane at around 11pm last night.

Four units of the fire service battled the blaze for over four hours.

A post mortem is being carried out at University Hospital Kerry in Tralee but gardaí are not treating the fire as suspicious.
