Pedestrian in serious condition following Cork road collision
Gardaí are investigating a serious collision in Cork which has left a pedestrian in a serious condition.
The incident happened at approximately 8.30am on Ballynoe Hill, Cobh close to the junction of Ballynoe hill and the Tay Road.
It's understood the 52-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop. The woman was taken to Cork University hospital where her condition is described as serious.
The road was closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination which has since re-opened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on that road between 8am and 8.45am to contact the Gardaí in Cobh.
