A man has died in a road accident involving a truck.

A man has died in a road accident involving a truck.

Gardaí say there was a collision between a truck and the pedestrian at Meath Street in Dublin just before midday today.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the truck has been brought to St James Hospital with minor injuries.

The road has been closed for a forensic investigation and diversions are in place.
