Payments company to create 25 jobs in Kilkenny

TransferMate Global Payments has announced that it is to hire business development and sales staff for its global payments centre in Kilkenny.

Positions at the Irish-owned company are being created at the company's 24-hour call centre in Kilkenny to assist their clients based in Europe, North America and Australia.

Stephen Hickey, human resources manager at TransferMate Global Payments, said: "There are 25 positions immediately available and we are accepting CVs from applicants from today with a view to conducting interviews in the coming weeks.

"Our recruitment across Ireland to date has been very successful – last year we hired 15 staff. We found some excellent people in the last few months for key positions such as business development and finance."

Barry Dowling, managing director of TransferMate Global Payments, said: "Our continued growth is dependent on having great staff and happy clients.

"Our success to date has been based on people’s appetite to move from using the bank to secure cheaper deals on their foreign exchange payments.

"Companies now have a real alternative when it comes to making their foreign currency payments and despite having offices worldwide, some of our best people are here in Ireland."
