Pair held in connection with attempted murder of police officer released


Two men held in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in east Belfast on Sunday have been released without charge.

The men aged 34 and 25 were arrested on Monday. A 41-year-old man arrested yesterday remains in police custody.

The PSNI sais that the bomb, which was found under the officer's car, was intended to kill.

Dissident republicans have been blamed.
