The Road Safety Authority has said that over 4,000 penalty points were issued on Irish roads in the past seven days.

The Road Safety Authority has said that over 4,000 penalty points were issued on Irish roads in the past seven days.

RSA figures also show 127 people were arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the last week.

There were also three road deaths in the same period.
