The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has said overcrowding at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda is at a "dangerous" level.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has said overcrowding at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda is at a "dangerous" level.

The body said there were 40 patients on trolleys in the emergency department and a further 15 in the Medical Assessment Unit today.

They say a further 29 patients who have been clinically discharged cannot leave due to the lack of community beds or services.
