O'Sullivan hopes for government formation talks deal

The acting Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan has said she hopes Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil can agree a deal on some form of government.

Labour's O'Sullivan has also said, in her opinion, it would be preferable to another general election.

However, she said her party will support the Government on a range of issues.

“Well the Labour Party won’t be making a deal of any kind,” said O’Sullivan.

“But, we will support the Government on issues like the Eight Amendment, on issues like workers rights, on issues like more affordable childcare (and) on issues like child poverty.”
