Organised criminals blamed for Derry abductions and shootings
20/12/2005 - 12:29:58Police in the North are blaming organised criminals for the abduction and shooting of two men in Derry overnight.
The victims, aged 31 and 56, were walking along Culmore Road last night when they were confronted by a number of masked men.
The pair were bundled into a car and driven to the Creggan estate, where they were both shot in the leg.
The PSNI said it believed criminals rather than paramilitaries were behind the attack.
