Orange weather alert - snow and ice expected from north to midlands
An orange weather alert is in place this morning warning of snow and ice in Donegal.
Up to six centimetres of snow is expected to fall above 500 feet and ice may affect many roads this morning.
A snow and ice warning is also in place for Connacht, Longford, Westmeath, Cavan and Monaghan.
A yellow wind warning is in place for the Atlantic coast, with gusts of up to 100 kilometres expected.
