One arrest after gardaí seize €750k in cannabis plants


A man has been arrested in County Kilkenny following the seizure of cannabis plants worth three quarters of a million euro.

Gardaí found the plants when they searched buildings in Thomastown and Mooncoin last night as part of an ongoing investigation.

A man in his 40s was arrested in the Glenbally Valley area of South Kilkenny during another search.

He is being held at Thomastown Garda Station.
