Young man drowns in Kildare accident
27/05/2012 - 10:54:20A man in his early 20s has drowned in Co Kildare.
The man was swimming with a group of friends yesterday evening, at a disused quarry at Ballykelly, near Monasterevin, when he got into difficulty.
The Garda Sub Aqua Unit recovered his body at around 7.30pm. His body was then removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital.
Gardaí say they are treating the incident as a tragic accident.
