Man due in court after young mother's death in Dundalk

A 34-year-old man is due in court today charged with the murder of mother-of-three Jacqueline McDonagh in Dundalk.

The man was charged with murder in Dublin last night. He had presented himself, accompanied by his solicitor, at Store Street garda station on Thursday evening and was arrested and questioned.

Jacqueline McDonagh was beaten to death at her home in College Manor in Dundalk in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
