Oireachtas to hear submissions on obesity

An Oireachtas Committee will hear submissions from experts on eating disorders and obesity later today.

The Department of Health estimates that 200,000 people in Ireland may be affected by eating disorders.

Professor Fiona McNicholas works with those who have eating disorders. She says that it is important for parents to keep an eye out for signs of excessive dieting such as losing interest in school and extreme weight loss.
