There are reports this morning of dissent within Fianna Fáil.
Deputy Eamon O'Cuiv, who is the grandson of the party's founding father Eamon De Valera, has told the Sunday Independent that there is an "absolute collapse in self-belief" within the party.
Previous reports suggest Fianna Fáil leader Micháel Martin faces a heave if they do not perform well in the upcoming Carlow/Kilkenny by-election.
Mr O'Cuiv has told the paper that the party needs to urgently improve its standing with the public.
