The man behind the State's original banking inquiry said there is no new information in the Anglo Tapes.

Finnish banking expert Peter Nyberg, who chaired the original commission into the banking collapse, said the tapes simply portray the company culture in Anglo.

Mr Nyberg's report two years ago pointed the finger at Anglo for aggressive lending to developers, which had eventually encouraged other banks to do the same.
