Fine Gael says it needs another term in office to make sure the economic recovery isn't squandered, according to Minister for Finance Michael Noonan.
It says the return of jobs to Ireland could be lost if power is given to the opposition.
Speaking at his party's national conference in Castlebar, Finance Minister Michael Noonan has said that Fine Gael needs one more term to make sure the recovery is complete.
"The jobs will reduce welfare dependency, they'll reduce poverty, and they'll give an opportunity to our young people to come back home," he said.
"So we're on the right track, and I'd say to the Irish people - y'know, we're a long way towards having a very successful economy, another period in office and we can clinch it."
