A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Three other men were also arrested in connection with the incident, two of them have also since been released without charge.

A crowd arrived there earlier to show their support.

In the last few minutes, Deputy Murphy said that he has no regrets over his role in the Jobstown protest.

"I've been speaking in the last week, week and a half, on the radio about the need to defend the right to protest, even when you don't agree with everything that happens in protest," he said.

"What's here is actually quite a grave attack on people's democratic right to participate in protest, including things like sit-down protests.

"I stand over absolutely participating in a sit-down, a peaceful sit-down protest, and the protest in Jobstown."
